The REIT Poland Association and powermeetings.eu cordially invite you to the 2nd Conference on SRWN / REIT – a new investment model in real estate and new investment opportunities in Poland, which will be held on 29th March 2017.

 Considering current works conducted by the Ministry of Development regarding the Act on Real Estate Leasing Companies (SRWN/REIT), this conference perfectly fits within the scope of current ongoing developments and can contribute significantly to the popularization of the SRWN/REIT idea.

 The mission and main objective of the REIT Polska Association is to initiate and support – with the use of our knowledge and experience – all activities aimed to form a legal framework for entities operating under the REIT formula , as well as promoting this type of solutions among Polish citizens and institutions. As an association, we are also an active participant in the legislation process.

This conference is another important initiative that aims to promote REIT in Poland among the most important representatives of commercial and residential real estate market.

Commercial real estate market in Poland is a prominent and attractive market in Europe. Over the last 25 years it has developed rapidly with minimal participation of Polish investors. In the opinion of the founders of the Association, the current status can change only through the introduction of the legislation and best practices, with great benefit for Polish investors and the Polish economy.

We are welcoming to join the conference all active actors in the real estate market – consultants, investors, investment funds and capital markets experts – that are interested in its growth.

Paweł Gruza was born on 1 June 1977 in Warsaw. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of Warsaw University. He participated in numerous professional training activities, seminars and conferences in Poland and abroad (inter alia, courses on Polish and international accounting standards, economic legislation of the European Union, international tax planning, industry-specific training programmes).

He has broad professional experience. He managed many interdisciplinary projects for companies from the industrial and financial sector. In the years 2000 – 2006 he worked for advisory companies. From April 2016 he acted in the capacity of Vice Minister of the State Treasury.

Co-author of the first commentary to the Act on the social security system (1999) and co-author of the first commentary in Poland to EU VAT directives (2004, selection and editing of rulings of the EU Court of Justice). Author of articles in specialized journals and economic press.

Expert on finance and economics of the Republican Foundation; in January 2016 appointed as the member of its Management Board.

Marcin Obroniecki is a deputy director of the Financial Market Development Department at the Ministry of Finance. His responsibilities include capital markets and payment systems. He has been Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Krajowy Fundusz Kapitalowy S.A., the government’s fund of VC funds since 2016. In 2015 he co-founded DobryPrad.pl, a start-up comparison website for energy prices, where he was responsible for strategy and development. In 2012-2015 he worked at Bank Zachodni WBK in the Market Analysis Office. He is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and the Warsaw School of Economics and is the author of several scientific papers, including a monograph on sovereign wealth funds’ activity in CEE.

Małgorzata Kosińska is President of REIT Polska, NGO uniting Real Estate companies and specialists active on Polish market. Organization aims promoting and lobbying introduction in Poland of legislation and best practices in REITs. By bringing together excellent specialist REIT Polska can draw from the experience and knowledge of its members. Furthermore she is an independent consultant for Real Estate companies active in the region. She gained extensive experience trough years of work as President of the Board and Board Member in commercial and residential real estate companies such as: Centrum Bankowo-Finansowego „Nowy Świat” S.A  Pirelli Pekao Real Estate, BPH TFI, BZWBK, DTC, Knight Frank, PwC. He holds degrees in Mathematics, IT and Management from University of Warsaw / Poland and University of Stuttgart / Germany.

Since 2014 Maciej Dyjas is a member of the Board of Directors of Jan Karski Educational Foundation. While since 2011 he is a member of the Polish Business Roundtable (Polska Rada Biznesu).

Włodzimierz Kocon graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the Warsaw School of Economics (former SGPiS). He also holds an MBA degree from the Warsaw University of Technology. For more than 20 years he has been working in the investment sector and in the real property market. He has gained his professional experience in holding managerial positions at PwC, Von der Heyden Group, APP Polska sp. z o.o. and Gerald Eve International (Poland) Sp. z o.o.

From 2007 to 2013 he worked at PZU Asset Management/TFI PZU as the Head of the Real Property Sector Office in charge of the investment activities of PZU Group in the real property market. In 2013 he worked at Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego and was the co-developer of the concept of the Flats Apartments for Rent Fund. He prepared the investment strategy of the BGK Nieruchomości S.A, the bank’s subsidiary and headed it as the President of the Management Board.

Before becoming the Vice-President of the Management Board of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, he was an independent real property market advisor. He holds a professional estate agent’s licence and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Anna Duchnowska has over 14 years’ experience of which the past 10 have been focused on asset management, investment, leasing and finance within the CEE and Polish property markets, with particular expertise in retail and offices.

She joined joined Invesco Real Estate (IRE) in March 2014 and is a Director of Asset Management, spearheading asset management initiatives for the firm’s Polish assets. She is also head of IRE’s Warsaw office, which opened in March 2014, and is IRE’s second office in Central and Eastern Europe.

Prior to joining IRE, Anna worked for Colliers International Poland where she spent two years as director of landlord representation and asset management and previous to this spent seven years with AIB PPM sp z.o.o. as head of asset management for one of their property funds.

Her professional qualifications include Master of Economics from the Warsaw School of Economics and an Executive MBA from the University of Minnesota. Anna is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Accountants (FCCA) and a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). She is based in the Warsaw office.

Karol Bartos currently holds the position of Portfolio & Asset Management Executive Director at Tristan Capital Partners in London. In this role he is responsible for a pan-European office and retail properties portfolio. Michał Pietuszko is a legal advisor with more than ten years’ professional experience in the real estate sector.

He advises on real estate market transactions, and on all stages of the implementation of investment projects, from the legal due diligence of real properties, through designing the structure of transactions, purchasing real properties or SPVs, obtaining administrative decisions related to the management of real properties and the completion of construction processes, to issues of real property usufruct and commercialisation. Before joining Standard & Poor’s, Lukasz was a Director in the Investment Banking departments at Citibank (London and Warsaw), Haitong and PKO BP.   • VAT invoice will be issued and send via regular post to the address indicated by the attendee within seven days of receipt of the payment.
  • Should you cancel the registration prior to 14 days before the Conference, 100% of the payment made will be returned to you. If the cancellation is made between 7 and 13 days before the Conference, 50% will be returned. No cancelation will be accepted less than 6 days before the Conference.
  • If you do cancel your registration and do not attend, you will be charged the full amount of the registration fee.
